1. CarHenry Buyback Guarantee

If a DMV-branded title (salvage, rebuilt, junk, flood, fire, hail, lemon) exists for the VIN and is missing from your report, we refund the report and CarHenry may buy the vehicle back under the terms below. This applies to every CarHenry report, not only to registered vehicles.

Terms. The brand must have been issued by a state DMV before the date of your report; you must have bought the vehicle after reading the report; the claim must be made within 30 days of purchase with the DMV title attached; the buyback amount and remaining conditions are set out in the terms you receive with the report.

How to claim

1. E-mail help@carhenry.com from the address used at purchase, with the report number, within 30 days of purchase.
2. For a Buyback Guarantee claim, attach the DMV title showing the brand and the date it was issued.
3. A person replies within one business day. Refunds go to the original payment method and typically appear within five to ten business days; a buyback is settled under the terms above.

What the guarantee does not cover

• Records that were never reported to any source. A privately settled repair or an unreported incident appears in no history service. A CarHenry Vehicle History Report is based only on information supplied to CarHenry. Other information about this vehicle, including problems, may not have been reported to CarHenry. Use this report as one important tool, along with a vehicle inspection and test drive, to make a better decision about your next used car.
• A single section that came back "no record found" while other sections have records.
• License-plate lookup, which is not available yet.

What counts as "nothing found"?

All six history sections of the report, accident and damage, title and ownership, odometer, stolen vehicle, service and maintenance, and auction and sale history, came back with no record at all. In that case you get the report price back, no questions. A single empty section while others have records is information about the car and is not refunded.
